What Do Veterinarians Do?
Today for fun, I typed “What do veterinarians do?” in Google and started a search. What I found were statements like “…veterinarians diagnose and treat the diseases of animals”. Ugh! That’s a lot like doing an Internet search on birds and reading “birds fly”. I guess it’s correct but all the fascinating facts are missing. The fun is in discovering the details.

Become a Veterinarian: Study Science
At number one, the top recommendation of the veterinarians in our study was “study science”. These animal doctors understood that to become a veterinarian you must enjoy science as much as you love animals. The truth is, many children love animals. The children who love both animals and science are the ones that become veterinarians.

Become a Veterinarian: Get Experience with Animals
At the number two spot, the veterinarians in our study recommended that you “get experience working with animals”. These doctors understood that nothing can replace the knowledge you will gain by caring for animals. You’ll learn their diets, their typical behaviors, how to handle them, and what environments they like. More importantly, you’ll learn about yourself. What animals do you like the most?
