When kids and teens first begin to explore veterinary medicine, they often are surprised by the amount of equipment animal doctors use.  If there is a piece of equipment used by human doctors, chances are very good veterinarians use that same piece of equipment on all types of animals.  In fact, you can bet that veterinarians were involved in the development of that medical device.

Our latest video, Meet a Sea Turtle Veterinarian was a fantastic project to be a part of. I discovered a type of veterinarian that I didn’t even know existed – a doctor who focuses on the rehabilitation of injured and sick sea turtles.  This veterinarian works not only for the conservation of the turtles but also for other native species in the area.  What was even more inspiring was that this veterinarian found a patient need and built a hospital to serve it.
