SHARE Check Out Zoo Camps

Zoo camps, like the one at the Jacksonville Zoo in Jacksonville, Florida, are a great place to be if you are a future veterinarian. You’ll see lots of animals, meet with zookeepers, do crafts, explore behind the scenes and meet lots of other animal lovers just like you.

Each day brings new animals and new sites to visit. Zoo campers get hands-on experience with animals both in the classroom and throughout the park. Campers also have daily access to zookeepers and zoo educators who share the basics of animal diets, habitats, anatomy, physiology and so much more. Zoo camps let animal lovers get up-close and personal with animals while learning a lot of great science along the way.

    Hey Everyone,

    Don’t camps look exciting!!

I am certain there are zoo camps in your own city or county.  Just get on the internet (with your parent’s permission) and look at your local zoo’s website.  Most zoos have educational programs.  Those programs will often include weeklong camps and day-long programs where you can explore animal with the zoo team.

    Good luck on your search.
