VETERINARY REVIEWS
I love the concept! Introducing
young readers to veterinary medicine in a simple, straightforward
format. What a valuable tool in the early education of future veterinarians.

Dr. Carpenter's Lilly's Heart
will answer the dreams of so many children wanting to become a veterinarian.
The story is presented at a level easily comprehended by children
of ages 4 to 8. The reader learns how the heart functions and how
a veterinarian takes care of a sick pet. Colorful illustrations
grab the reader's eyes. I commend Dr. Carpenter and highly recommend
his book as an entertaining way of introducing a child to the thrilling
world of veterinary medicine.

Lilly's
Heart is a delightful introduction
to veterinary medicine for young children. The book's illustrations
are fascinating and age appropriate for elementary school students
but do not overwhelm them with too much complexity. Ichabod is certainly
the most charming character to be enjoyed in this book and, hopefully,
many other books to follow.

The Gloyd Group, a Veterinary Education Company
Dr. Carpenter's book is well written
and beautifully illustrated. My 6-year-old son and I have read it
(over and over) before bedtime. It is one of his favorites!
Dr. Ben Parker, Veterinarian, Hilton Head,
South Carolina
This delightfully
illustrated book provides an educational, accurate, and interesting
opportunity for children to experience the wonders of veterinary medicine,
in particular, veterinary cardiology.
Dr. Clarke Atkins, Veterinarian, Professor of Cardiology
and Medicine
North Carolina State University, College of Veterinary Medicine
This is a wonderful book for children
who want to become veterinarians when they grow up.
Ms. Hayley Schnakenberg (Dr. Atkins' 7-year-old
niece)
Every child loves animals. Dr. Carpenter
has found a way to take a child and a veterinarian's common love
and introduce the basics of veterinary medicine in a fun and educational
way.
